Lock the ambulances when you are at an emergency scene and when you are at the hospital.
Each member must complete a monthly stipend sheet.

You may not "borrow" a portable radio from the ambulances. If your pager is not operating, surrender it to the Second Sergeant for repair.
The ambulance bays are heated. Do not leave the bay doors open unnecessarily.
Security is the responsibility of each member. Do not leave any doors open.

Subject: Re:  Cell Tower - Comments to the Press
Date: Fri, 04 Feb 2005 22:07:25 -0500

As you all know, Sprint has submitted an application to erect a mono-pole cell tower on PVACI property.  Articles are beginning to appear in the local newspapers (Bergen Record and Town News, so far).

If there are issues to be discussed among the membership, that should be done "in-house" and not in the press.  Therefore, if a member of the press asks any of you to comment on the cell tower, I strongly request that you refer their inquiry to me.

Since it is standard practice not to give out phone numbers or addresses, you can refer people to our web site (www.paramusvolambulancecorps.homestead.com) for information on the PVACI, including a list of directors.  I'm listed in the phonebook, so they can find me.

As an alternative, you can ask for call-back information and forward that to me.  If appropriate, I will then respond to the inquiry.

Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Bob Scheper
President, PVACI

Reminder: Mantoux testing will take place on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, starting at 18:15 hours at PVAC headquarters. Each active member must accept the Mantoux test, or decline the test in writing. Members under 18 years old must have their parent's permission both to decline and to accept the testing.

The tests will be read on Friday, February 11, 2005, same time and place.

Those who can not attend, should make arrangements for the testing directly with the Paramus Board of Health (201-265-2100).
